Dear Mr Jochim,
It is with great pleasure that I write this letter of appreciation
to you for your efforts in helping our Technology Literacy
Challenge Grant consortium meet our objectives. The Educational
Reality System (ERS) that you created for our schools has
far surpassed all of our expectations.
The glowing faces and enthusiastic reactions of our students
best describe the success of the ERS. Not only were we able
to better convey critical information to students in an interactive
and dynamic environment, but we are now doing it in a manner
that is more pedagogically sound and entertaining for our
students. Preliminary results of Attitudinal surveys administered
to both students and teachers reflected overwhelming support
for use of the new technology that your company pioneered.
In addition to helping us to realize our goal of integrating
ERS into the curriculum, you carried the project to the next
level by producing the portable Virtual Reality Lab. By doing
so, you have empowered our students with the resources necessary
to create their own virtual environments - now they have the
tools to support school projects or academic initiatives.
You have created a platform that will help students and teachers
incorporate other applications and link them to their virtual
portal.
Our consortium looks forward to continuing the strong academic
and business bond that has been created during this project.
I have advised the grant project officer in Arkansas that
administers the Technology Literacy Challenge Grant for the
U.S. Department of Education of the success of this program.
Additionally, I have initiated a grant request under the Enhancing
Education Through Technology (EETT) grant program for a continuation
of funding for additional portable VR Labs.
Thank you again for your excellent support! I will gladly
offer the highest of recommendations to any school district
investigating possible applications of this technology with
their curriculum.
Sincerely,
Wallie Shaw
